If you are looking for a venue for the perfect Baby Shower, then look no further than Cake Boy Coffee Lounge in Battersea Reach, Wandsworth.
Eric Lanlard, owner of Cake Boy, makes extraordinary cakes for celebrities and glitterati and he will create something exquisite and delicious for the occasion. The coffee lounge itself is more like a sumptuous boutique (think Sex and the City meets Elle Deco!) with decadent chandeliers, a fire and sumptuous upholstered leather armchairs in jewel colours - it is the perfect venue for up to 20 guests who would like to spoil a very special mother to be.
Cake Boy will serve a divine Afternoon Tea, comprising delicious canapés, cupcakes and champagne. So all you need to do is arrive (parking is very easy – there’s an underground carpark) and just enjoy yourself – we will do all the work for you. The event can be tailored to a specific theme or a favourite cake or dessert.
Eric Lanlard – wedding cake-maker extraordinaire has devised a Cookery Class & Champagne Afternoon Tea as an elegant Hen event within his new cookery school at the Cake Boy Boutique.
The bride-to-be and her girlfriends can have a thoroughly entertaining time while learning to make a fabulous cake or two. Hens and their guests can then relax in Cake Boy’s glamorous lounge (think Sex and the City meets Elle Decoration!) with a glass of bubbly and a selection of fabulous cakes.
Eric’s classes will take place in his cookery school that is housed in Cake Boy his South London luxury coffee lounge. The classes have been specifically designed for groups of eight people or more with a maximum capacity of 15.
The classes are priced at £95 per person this covers all baking ingredients and a Champagne Afternoon Tea.
Each participant will take their cake home and will be given 10 per cent discount shopping voucher that can be used on the day against Cake Boy’s gifts and goodies. Classes can also be tailored to a particular favourite cake or dessert – Eric is a Master Pâtissier, so whatever you want – it’s yours!
Eric comments: “Just like weddings, hen days are getting more sophisticated. The idea of getting dressed up and drunk in fancy dress is losing its appeal! Cooking with family and friends has always been a great way to socialise and relax. The added pleasure of achieving what looks like the impossible is what I recreate in my cookery classes for hens. What’s more, there is no better way to learn a new skill in a fun atmosphere and in stylish surroundings – with a glass or two of smooth Champagne.”
Classes cost £95 per person.
Class sizes: minimum of eight people, maximum of 15
